Financially-troubled 1. FC Kaiserslautern have been given a massive boost by a collection of German banks who have agreed to lend the Bundesliga side $20m euros.
The generous loan effectively cancels out the Red Devils' 17.8m overdraft and will also help finance the rennovation of the Fritz-Walter stadium in time for the 2006 World Cup.
